Our History

A true Antalya lover, our founder Numan Celal Kocaacar was born in 1951 in İbradı. Numan Kocaacar, who started to work at the age of 17 and has always adopted the principle of doing the best in every work, worked for the first time as an employee at Artas Ins. A.S., which were carrying out activities on port construction commitments, and continued to work there for a period of 10 years. Thanks to his determination and hard work, Numan Kocaacar has gained a considerable place in the commercial community of the region with the investments made by him in the nail and wire factory, which was established under the umbrella of his own companies Mepa San. Mamulleri Ltd. and Acar San. Mam. Ltd., situated in Alexandria. Because of homesickness he felt for his hometown Antalya, he settled in Antalya in 1989.

As the part of a formation filling the gap in the food supply and supply sector, he founded his company, Ansu Gıda Ltd. in the developing Antalya of that period. Ansu Gıda Ltd. continued its activities as one of the leading distributor companies in the region until 1995, and added the feature of being a manufacturing company to its commercial identity in 1995. Every year, Ansu Gıda Ltd. has increased its product range and production capacity. Our founder Numan Kocaacar, who put great efforts in the establishment of our production facility, has always been among the veteran names of the food industry with his ambition to work, hardworking nature, the effort he puts into his products and business, his stance in the sector and all human characteristics. Anyone who knows Numan Kocaacar, who also took part in the management of Antalyaspor for two terms, knows his passion for “Red-White” and his hometown Antalya. Our registered trademarks “Antalya Reçelcisi” and “Antalya Reçelleri” are a reflection of this passion. Numan Kocaacar, who graduated from Antalya High School – Division D with a focus on Literature in 1970, is an Antalyaspor lover, who, in his childhood, met with his friends in Karaalioglu Park and played football with citrus fruits because they could not afford a football, as he told in an interview with Antalya High School Alumni Association. This love has made him a manufacturer of the jams produced from many kinds of fruits, especially citrus fruits, which are identified with Antalya and gastronomically describe Antalya.

He entrusted “Antalya Reçelcisi”, the favourite brand of his company, where he was the chairman of the board of directors until the evening of October 5, 2019, on which he passed away from us, to his children and veteran employees. We commemorate him with mercy, gratitude and longing…
